What We Believe
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16
These are the foundational beliefs of Victory Baptist Church — grounded in Scripture, held with conviction, and meant to be understood by everyone.
We believe the Old and New Testament to be the verbally and plenary inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith, life, and church establishment, preserved inerrant in the King James Version for the English speaking world.
We believe in the one triune God, eternally existing in three persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory.
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, was born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person equal with the Father and the Son — convicting the world of sin, baptizing all believers into the Body of Christ, and sealing them unto the day of redemption.
We believe in the direct and instant creation that was completed in 6 literal 24-hour days by God. We do not believe in the process of evolution.
We believe Satan is literal and personal — the agent of the fall, the prince of this world, who has been judged and faces eternal destruction.
We believe man was created in the image of God, that he sinned incurring physical and spiritual death, and is born with a sinful nature under the condemnation of God.
We believe atonement for sin was made by the vicarious death of our Lord Jesus Christ — available to all men through individual soul liberty.
We believe God provided eternal salvation for all men through Christ’s shed blood on the cross, and that salvation is an individual choice appropriated by faith — not by works, not by ritual, but by trusting in Jesus Christ alone.
We believe that those who received Jesus Christ as Savior are eternally saved — once saved, always saved. God keeps His own.
We believe in the pretribulational, premillennial, and imminent return of Jesus Christ and the rapture of the Church Age saints. He is coming back — and it could be any moment.
We believe in a literal heaven for all who are saved through Christ’s shed blood, and a literal hell for those who reject Him as their Savior.
We believe the local church is a body of immersed believers assembled for worship, service, and the spread of the Gospel — observing Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
We believe God has given the Great Commission to the church — to proclaim the Gospel to all nations, tribes, ethnic groups, and languages until Christ returns.
To God alone be the glory. These doctrines are not merely statements we recite — they are truths we live by, preach from, and stake our lives on.
